Children celebrate 100 years of Roald Dahl

Children around the world have been celebrating 100 years of Roald Dahl today, as the much-loved author was born on this day in 1916.

More than 250 million copies of his books have been sold around the world.

Although he died in 1990, his characters such as Mr Twit, Willy Wonka, Matilda, and the BFG all live on in kid's imaginations - and kids have celebrated their favourites with dress-ups and events.
