Rumours are flying that Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth has touched down in New Zealand.
The star is currently filming Thor: Ragnarok across the ditch in Brisbane with Kiwi director Taika Waiti.
However there is a chance that he has taken a short break to check out Aotearoa - Northland to be exact.
Sam from the Piggery Secondhand Bookstore in Whangarei told The Hits the actor came into the store on Wednesday and bought a copy of Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
"He was Australian. He was the spitting image of him. He was in blue jeans, sneakers and a skin tight white shirt with a hat on backwards. He had the long blonde locks."
Sam texted her boss out of excitement who suggested she ask the mystery man who he was.
"He was looking at the Lord of the Rings books and when he came up to buy one, I said 'Is your name Chris?' And he said yes and he winked at me."
Sam said the star was on his own and was "very very tall".
"If it wasn't him, it was a damn good doppelganger."
