Turns out not everyone's a fan of Harambe.

The Cincinnati Zoo gorilla, shot dead in May, has found a second life as an internet meme - but rapper Nicki Minaj isn't impressed.

She's just released a new song 'The Pinkprint Freestyle' in which, amongst a number of crude rhymes, she takes aim at Harambe.

"I'm draggin' these hoes like Harambe did the kid," she quips just before the first-minute mark of the six-minute epic.

She's not the first rapper to use the gorilla's name - last month Young Thug named a new song after Harambe, but failed to drop his name in the lyrics. Instead, he spends most of the track threatening to kill people's families and attempting to convince a woman to sleep with him.

Harambe, 17, was shot dead after a child fell into his enclosure. He spent 10 minutes with the boy before the call was made to end his life before he hurt the child, accidentally or otherwise.
