Pop superstar Justin Bieber has confirmed that he is coming to New Zealand as part of his Purpose world tour.

The 22-year-old heartthrob said the dates will be revealed next week.

Earlier, a post on social media by concert promoter Frontier Touring, who previously brought Bieber to New Zealand on his worldwide Believe tour in 2013, hinted that he would be returning.

They posted an image to their Facebook page with 'What Do You Mean?' emblazoned on it - a reference to his hit 2015 single of the same name, which rose to the top of the charts in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

An official announcement, which is likely to be the release of his show dates, has been promised on Frontier Touring's website at 4am on Tuesday morning.

The post put Kiwi Beliebers into a frenzy, with the hastag #whereareunowoznz already in wide circulation as fans tell the internet of their excitement.
