Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes has denied he was turned away from the reopening of the Bataclan concert hall in Paris.
The US rockers were playing at the theatre last November when jihadists attacked, killing 90 people.
Bataclan co-director Jules Frutos told AFP he threw the band out on Saturday (local time) because he was fed up with comments Hughes had made.
In the past, Hughes had suggested Muslim staff at the Bataclan were involved in the attack, and that he saw Muslims celebrating outside the venue during the siege - a suggestion which has no evidence to back it up.
"They came, I threw them out - there are things you can't forgive," Mr Frutos told AFP.
But outside the venue on Sunday, present with the band for the unveiling of a plaque dedicated to the massacre's victims, Hughes has denied he was tossed out.
Instead, he says he never tried to go inside.
"I just wanted to see the show. I didn't want to see the show, I just wanted to see the [Bataclan] open, but I never actually tried to go into the show," he says.
"I've never even met [Frutos]... I don't know him, I mean I've never met him so I don't know what he's talking about."
Attacks across Paris on November 13, 2015, killed 130 people, including 90 at the Bataclan while Eagles of Death Metal were performing.
