Celebrated film score composer Hans Zimmer is heading to New Zealand to perform live for his Kiwi fans at Auckland's Vector Arena on April 29, 2017.
The first half of the concert will feature some of Zimmer's classic movie scores, including Gladiator, The Lion King and Pirates Of The Caribbean, while in the second he performs re-imagined versions of scores from films such as The Dark Knight and Inception, with special guest musicians.
Zimmer has scored more than 150 films, along with TV shows including The Pacific and Planet Earth II, and videogames Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Crysis 2.
He's won multiple awards, including an Oscar, a Tony, Grammys, Golden Globes and BAFTAs.
The Hans Zimmer Revealed & Friends concert is said to be a multi-layered experience described by The Guardian as "a wonderful night that feels like being in a whirlwind of interlocking dreams".
"Performing a concert series like this is something that I have always wanted to do, and I am thrilled to visit Australia and New Zealand," says Zimmer.
"I am very excited to get some of my very talented friends together and give our audiences an experience unlike any concert they have ever been to before."
Pre-sale tickets are on sale Tuesday, ahead of general tickets going on sale December 2.
