In celebration of being named GQ Man of the Year, Ryan Reynolds has jokingly slammed himself as "such a c***".

The Dick star staged an interview with himself as his identical twin brother in an interview for the men's magazine, also using the occasion to mock his acting ability and film choices, make a lewd comment about his wife and question his sexuality.

"Do you consider Deadpool the Green Lantern of good movies?" Reynolds asks himself, simultaneously insulting both comic book movies he starred in.

The self-mockery of the video contrasts with the candid interview Reynolds gave GQ after receiving its Man of the Year honour.

The 40-year-old actor told the publication he suffered a nervous breakdown and was diagnosed with anxiety following the filming of Deadpool.

"I literally had the shakes. I went to go see a doctor because I felt like I was suffering from a neurological problem or something. And every doctor I saw said, 'You have anxiety'," he told the magazine.

"I say this with the caveat that I completely recognise the ridiculously fortunate position that I am in. But the attention is hard on your nervous system - that might be why I live out in the woods."

The 2016 GQ Men of the Year issue is being released this month.
