Azealia Banks releases shocking chicken sacrifice video

Warning: This video contains footage that may disturb some viewers.

Controversial rapper Azealia Banks has caused outrage by confessing to sacrificing animals.

The '212' hitmaker is a self-confessed practitioner of 'Brujería', or witchcraft, which apparently involves the killing of chickens in a closet at her home.

"Real witches do real things," says Banks in a video she published on Instagram this week.

She claims the feathers and gunk in the video are the result of "three years' worth of brujería".

The video was linked to in the Auckland Vegans group on Facebook, captioned 'has she gone mad! [sic]'.

Commenters on the post slammed Banks as a "f**king psycho" and suggested she is trying to "bring her career back by sacrificing chickens".

Twitter users have also responded to the video, with mixed reactions.

The video caps off an eventful 2016 for Banks, who hit headlines for controversies including being banned from Twitter over vulgar racist abuse, having a physical altercation with Russell Crowe and supporting Donald Trump.
