Rolling Stones singer Sir Mick Jagger has become a father again at age of 73 with his 29-year-old girlfriend.
It's the eighth child the 'Satisfaction' singer has welcomed, with his other children ranging in age from 17 to 45. He became a great-grandfather in 2014.
Jagger's girlfriend, American ballerina Melanie Hamrick, gave birth to their son in New York on Thursday (local time), his publicist Bernard Doherty has confirmed.
"Mick was at the hospital for the arrival," the couple said in a statement, which described them both as "delighted" by the birth.
"Mother and baby are doing well and we request that the media respect their privacy at this time."
Jagger's former partner of 13 years, L'Wren Scott, died in 2014, before he began his relationship with Hamrick.
The mothers of his other children are Marsha Hunt, Bianca Jagger, Jerry Hall and Luciana Gimenez Morad.
