Gus Fring returns in upbeat yet creepy Los Pollos Hermanos ad

Gus Fring, one of the most notorious characters in cult TV show Breaking Bad, is making a comeback.

Better Call Saul's third season has been teased with a new video that isn't a trailer for the show, but rather an advertisement for fictional fried chicken restaurant Los Pollos Hermanos.

The food outlets were owned by Fring, a terrifyingly ruthless drug lord played by Giancarlo Esposito, who became locked in a vicious cat-and-mouse battle with Walter White (Bryan Cranston).

Esposito himself is clearly excited about Fring's return, taking to Twitter to share the video in a tweet complete with extraneous exclamation marks.

The video is a remarkably genuine recreation of a fast food restaurant ad, complete with Fring himself offering a satisfaction guarantee: "We are sure you'll like them - and if you don't, they're on me."

Last year, after the critically acclaimed show's second season finished, an observant fan noticed if you rearranged the first letters of each episode, they spelled "FRINGSBACK".

Esposito's involvement in the third season has since been officially confirmed.

It will be broadcast on AMC in the US from a 2017 premiere date yet to be announced.
