Katherine Heigl has shared the first images of her newborn son.
"We are all happy, healthy and beyond grateful," the Grey's Anatomy star posted on Instagram.
Born on December 20, Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr weighed in at 3.6kg. The child is named after his father, musician Josh Kelly.
Heigl and Kelly have been married since 2007. They have two daughters, eight-year-old Naleigh and four-year-old Adalaide, and Heigl's 14-year-old niece also lives with the family.
Heigl is one of the stars of upcoming law drama, Doubt. As well as starring in Grey's, she was also in films Knocked Up and 27 Dresses.
The household will certainly be busy. Along with two daughters and a niece, Joshua Jr will join a number of animals in the Utah household, including horses, donkeys, chickens and dogs.
Heigl told People that she wants more children.
‘I’d get pregnant again, and I am still very inspired by adoption,’ she said. ‘I also have been thinking about fostering. It’s all up in the air.’
Heigl’s two older daughters are both adopted, as is Heigl’s older sister Meg. She told People that adoption has always been part of her vision for her own family.
