Days after a warrant for his arrest was issued, Young Thug has pulled out of New Zealand's Laneway Festival.

The 'Stoner' hitmaker was one of the festival's major drawcards, along with Tame Impala and Chet Faker.

"Despite having his New Zealand visa, recent complications with the visa process for Australia means that Young Thug is not able to play any Laneway Festival dates in 2017," say promoters.

"We are deeply disappointed with this outcome as we have wanted Young Thug to play at the festival for some years now."

Sydney-based electronic act What So Not is replacing Young Thug at the January 30 event.

Promoters are offering refunds to Laneway Festival ticket purchasers who don't want to go now that the rapper isn't performing.

The offer ends on Saturday and only applies to tickets bought after Young Thug's appearance was announced - more details are available at moshtix.com.

Last week, a warrant was issued for Young Thug's arrest after he failed for a second time to show up in court over excessive window tinting.

At the time, a Laneway Festival spokesperson indicated to Newshub the legal trouble wouldn't affect his appearance at the event.

Meanwhile, a hilarious video for the rapper's track 'Wyclef Jean' has been debuted online.

Young Thug himself doesn't appear in the video. Nor do many of the planned scenes, with director Ryan Staake providing a meta commentary of the video's shoot and their absences instead.
