Comedian 'may have gone too far' in airport poo prank

Comedian Steve Hofstetter couldn't pass up his chance to have some fun (Facebook)

A comedian admits he may have gone a little far when he got revenge on a rude woman, who let her dog poop on the Los Angeles Airport floor.

After she left the doggy doo-doo on the terminal floor, to the shock of plenty of others, she told the person she was on the phone to, loudly and ironically, that "some people are just so damned rude".

She didn't pick it up because the airport "has people for that".

Steve Hofstetter shared the anecdote on Facebook, and says instead of letting it slide, he thought he'd have a little bit of fun.

He goes on to describe how he had to supervise the poo pile while they found someone to clean it up, and how the dog barked at everyone.

But when he arrived at the gate to board his Tokyo-bound flight, he noticed the woman, who he called a "sociopath", was also there.

Instead of avoiding the woman, he decided to make her sweat.

Asking if she was going to London for business in an attempt to confuse her, she gruffly told her she was off to Tokyo.

He then told her she was at the wrong gate.

The woman stormed out of the terminal despite various signs telling her to stay.

"She was so self-involved, she didn't notice that the monitor at our gate still said Tokyo and almost everyone at the gate was Japanese," Hofstetter says.

The comedian doesn't know if she got back on the flight, but he didn't hear the dog barking on board.

To make matters worse for the woman, the airline only flies to Tokyo once a day.

Mr Hofstetter says he didn't intend to make her miss the flight, but hopes she re-booked if that was the case; he hears "they've got people for that".
