Pop singer Alison Moyet will visit New Zealand for her first concerts since her mid-1980s heyday.
"I'm beyond delighted to be returning to Australia and New Zealand again after 30 years," Moyet says.
After making her name as half of synthpop duo Yazoo alongside ex-Depeche Mode songwriter Vince Clarke, Moyet had solo chart success with songs like 'Invisible' (a New Zealand #4 hit single) and 'Love Resurrection'.
"Having had some considerable time to practice in the interim, I am glad to declare that gigging is my favourite thing ever," says Moyet, whose new music is a return to her electronic roots.
"My new album Other which continues the electronic soundbed I favoured on The Minutes allows my live work to also present many of my earlier songs in their intended form, albeit with some jiggery pokery. Songs you know well. Songs to introduce you to."
She'll perform in Wellington on October 13, Auckland on October 14 and Christchurch on October 16.
Tickets go on sale on Friday.
