Drugs, strippers and death feature in wild Rough Night trailer

The first trailer has been released for Rough Night, a comedy that looks like a female-centric version of Very Bad Things meets Weekend at Bernie's.

Scarlett Johansson is joined by Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, and Zoë Kravitz in the film as former college friends who reunite for a hen's party in Miami.

Rough Night distributor Sony describes it as an "edgy R-rated comedy", a theme hammered home with the debauchery-filled trailer that features binge-drinking, cocaine and raunchiness.

The women's hard partying takes a dark turn when they accidentally kill a male stripper before, leading them on a crazy adventure as they try to hide the body.

Rough Night is written by Broad City scribes Lucia Aniello and Paul Downs, and also directed by Aniello.

It's scheduled for a New Zealand release of June 15.
