Kim Kardashian thought 'life-changing' robbery was terrorist attack

Kim Kardashian thought the armed robbers who raided her luxury Paris apartment in October 2016 were terrorists.

The reality TV star's testimony has been obtained and published by French newspaper Le Monde, quoting her as saying: "I thought they were terrorists who had come to kidnap me... I remember that I had an indescribable feeling, as if my heart would leave my body. I thought I was going to die."

Kim has also taken to Twitter to share emotional insight into the scary ordeal to promote the latest episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, describing it as "one of the most life changing experiences".

"Tonight's episode is going to be very tough for me. However, I thought it was important to share this story through my eyes and not in an interview where my own words could be twisted," says Kim.

"I have always shared so much and I'm not going to hold back when this was probably one of the most life changing experiences for me. I would never wish this experience upon anyone, but have learned some valuable lessons and feel so blessed to be safe home with my babies and husband. To my friends, family, and loved ones I can't thank you enough for being there when I needed you the most. To the French police, thank you for your incredible hard work."

Kim, 36, lost over US$9 million worth of jewellery in the raid, and reportedly told police she feared she would be raped.

The Instagram-loving, paparazzi-friendly star took an uncharacteristic break from the spotlight following the robbery.
