Max Key's music popular in Middle East

Former Prime Minister John Key's son Max is getting hundreds of thousands of hits on his latest track - thanks to a Lebanese radio station's popular Facebook page.

Radio One posted the music video of Max Key's new single 'All the Way' on March 3 and followed up with a Facebook Live interview on Wednesday.

In the interview, Radio One Lebanon presenter 'Elite' refers to Key as "the hottest DJ in Auckland", before the pair of them repeatedly beg viewers to share and comment on his music video.

"It sounds a bit like The Chainsmokers' stuff, it's quite commercial," Key tells Elite of 'All the Way'.

The interview has been viewed over 42,000 times, while the 'All the Way' video has racked up over 790,000 views on the radio station's Facebook page.

"My goal is to break out of the New Zealand market - that's really important," Key said.

"New Zealand's quite a small country right on the bottom of the world. For us it'd be really cool to be able to be touring around the world... keep putting out good content."

Key also said he plans to shoot his next video "in the Middle East" after 'All the Way' was filmed in Fiji.

The full hour-long interview can be viewed below.
