Samuel L Jackson answers most googled questions about him

Much-loved Hollywood actor Samuel L Jackson has opened up on the things people most want to know about him - at least, according to the globe's biggest search engine, Google.

In a video for US magazine and website Wired, the Pulp Fiction star discussed where he grew up, what roles he played in various films, and whether he was related to late pop star Michael Jackson.

The actor also cleared up a number of erroneous 'facts' about his life - including that he has a lisp, is a vegan and still smokes.

In response to the question, 'Did Samuel L Jackson ask for a purple lightsaber?' the 68-year-old had a simple response.

"You bet your ass I did," he uttered, while staring straight into the barrel of the camera.

"I asked George [Lucas, director of Star Wars] and he said no. I went away, came back to do reshoots and he said, 'Guess what I did, just for the hell of it?'

"He said he'd made one, but he still wasn't sure he would actually keep it. I ended up keeping it," Jackson said with a smile.

The Snakes on a Plane lead also revealed that he engrained 'BMF' on the lightsaber - an acronym for 'Bad Motherf***er', an iconic phrase that was emblazoned on his wallet when he played Jules Winnfield in Pulp Fiction.

There were a few things he refused to give straight answers on, however.

Those were related to how much he's worth, which is "more than I thought I'd ever f***ing be" and how he became famous, which he claims was "your f***ing fault, not mine".

He also refused to say what biblical scripture he quoted in Pulp Fiction, because "if you don't know, you're not a real fan".
