A New York man stole more than 100 cellphones from fans at the Coachella music festival in California.

Reinaldo De Jesus Henao, 36, was arrested after a number of victims used the 'Find My iPhone' app to track down the thief, who was still in the crowd in the Sahara tent, the New York Post reported.

"A bunch of people activated their `Find my phone' and pointed at, 'Hey, it's that guy, my phone, my dot, it's moving with that guy,' " LA police officer Dan Marshall said.

Henao was arrested at 5:50 PM on Friday (local time), at which point the music festival's police officers found over 100 stolen phones in his backpack.

A number of the phones were immediately returned to their rightful owners, while the rest were placed in the 'Lost and Found' tent.

It wasn't immediately clear if the suspect had travelled to the massive music festival just to rip off cellphones, Sgt Marshall said.
