More FM makes hilarious daylight saving cock-up

More FM's Si & Gary

An official More FM Facebook page made a hilarious cock-up by simply missing out an important letter while writing the word "clocks".

The page of hosts Si & Gary - funny old Kiwi blokes Simon Barnett and Gary McCormick - put up a photo of singer Cher with a reminder about daylight saving ending.

"Don't forget to turn your cocks back 1 hour Saturday night," read the post.

Although the word cock can mean a rooster, a tilting action, or the loading of a firearm, it is also commonly used as a vulgar slang word for a part of male anatomy.

Quickly, Si & Gary fans started to comment on the post.

"Um you might wanna proof read aye? Lmao!!!" said Delwyn Willetts.

"How do we turn them back? What will happen when we do anti clockwise movements?" asked Roxeanne Rehm.

Another user, Synnie Jinx, lamented not having "one" and asking a More FM staff member if she could instead turn his.

The Si & Gary page later posted a photo of its since-deleted post with a laughing emoji and a message about why spelling matters.

New Zealanders should turn their clocks back one hour before going to bed on Saturday. What they do with their male birds is their business.
