Take That New Zealand: Boy band announces tour

  • 07/04/2017

For more than 22 years, Take That fans around New Zealand have been singing "I just want you back" - and now their dreams can be fulfilled.

The '90s boy band has announced they're coming here, but without Robbie Williams.

The reunited group, with three remaining members Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen, will play Auckland and Wellington in November.

They promise "a trip down memory lane" full of hits like 'Never Forget', 'Pray' and 'Back For Good'.

"We're thrilled to be coming back to Australia and New Zealand, and can't wait to perform all the songs our audience know and love," the band said in a statement.

At the peak of their early '90s fame, Take That sold more records than any British act since The Beatles. They broke up in 1996 and Robbie Williams, known notoriously as the wild member of the group, pursued a successful solo career.

They reunited in 2005 and Williams rejoined in 2010 for the album Progress, but left again soon after. In 2014 Jason Orange also quit. The three remaining members made Take That's eighth studio album this year.

Take That New Zealand tour:
