The Bachelor NZ 2017 episode 6 recap: Day-drinking will get you everywhere

In tonight's episode we gained a little more insight into the lives of the girls, and boy did we see some highs and some lows.

Bel finally got taken on the single date she's been pining for since it was snatched out of her hands by Viarni. None of these dates have been particularly thrilling so far - maybe it's because they've mostly involved strenuous physical activity.

But FINALLY Bel got the dream date: to go for a wander around a winery with Zac where "they stumbled upon" a tasting station. To die for.

The most important questions I have from the episode: are these stations just set up in the middle of the hills everywhere? How did they just stumble upon that? Where can I find them? I'm just going for a hike and may be some time.

Then they had to go and ruin it all by engaging in the most awkward activity of all time: stomping grapes to make sweet, sweet wine together.

This is one of those dates which in theory, sounds romantic. In reality, it was awful. Zac clearly didn't know where to put his hands - any grab forward to gain balance was dangerous. An accidental boob grab could have occurred at any moment. The hover hands were real.

It was all worth it when he gave Bel a rose after saying he "felt a lot stronger towards her". I don't know Zac, maybe that was the casual 5+ bottles of wine you've downed between you. Both of them had that lazy, lethargic look that we know and love from day-drinking in the sun.

This week's subtly sponsored group date had the girls driving Suzukis. Zac showed a secret love of dangerous women, praising the girls who threw their Year 12 defensive driving lessons to the wind and floored it. He described Lily as "happy to throw away caution; pretty reckless and wild" - all qualities you want in your chauffeur. Sorry, future girlfriend.

Without a doubt, the star of tonight's episode was Lily, who came out of the gates at the cocktail party blazing with 12/10 banter. Everyone's favourite shaka-throwing skater girl rocked a mini dress and boots at the cocktail party, and wrote questions up her thigh to ask Zac during their one-on-one time.

She was ballsy enough to ask the question we've all been wondering since the start: "Do you eat the skin on kiwifruit?"

His negative response led to possibly the best line in the show so far: "He said no, and I think he should rethink his priorities because that's where all the vitamins are."

I THINK THE SAME LILY. YOU'RE MY NEW FAVOURITE. Thank God I'm not the Bachelor, I would be handing out roses all day and night.

Clearly Zac feels the same - her chat got her a surprise rose during the cocktail party, leaving only a few for the remaining Bachelorettes.

Sophie's love of protective crystals, worn scattered over her sparkly dress, was unable to save her tonight - the marathon runner was sent packing. On the plus side, her exit wouldn't have cost any petrol money, because she could have just run home.

Will the next date be a Tim Tam eating challenge inside a Suzuki? Will Lily force-feed Zac a kiwifruit with the skin on? Will I ever find that wine expert they stumbled upon in the woods?

Tune in on Sunday at 7pm to find out.
