The Edge radio hosts Jono, Ben and Sharyn made the day of one Lorde superfan on Thursday; surprising her with a ride to school with the pop megastar.
When asked if she made a habit of picking up her fans and taking them to school, Ella Yelich-o'Connor, aka Lorde joked "it's a hobby of mine".
Amongst some jokes about the red light turning to a green light, the star revealed that her pop career got in the way of her obtaining her licence.
"I find he road-code very dry reading" Lorde told the team.
They then picked up highschool student Sarah from breakfast, for the segment they named 'starpooling'.
Sarah cried in shock as she was given the ride to school, and the chance to listen to some unreleased brand new tracks off the album Melancholy, to be released later this year.
