Michael Moore claims his upcoming documentary Fahrenheit 11/9 will end Donald Trump's presidency of the United States of America.

The Oscar-winning filmmaker is reuniting with movie mogul Harvey Weinstein for the new feature, after the pair worked together on 2004 hit Fahrenheit 9/11 - which remains the highest-grossing documentary of all time,

Moore will be trying to replicate that US$222 million hit's success with Fahrenheit 11/9, named after the date Trump was officially confirmed president.

"No matter what you throw at him, it hasn’t worked," says Moore.

"No matter what is revealed, he remains standing. Facts, reality, brains cannot defeat him. Even when he commits a self-inflicted wound, he gets up the next morning and keeps going and tweeting. That all ends with this movie."

Moore's last film, Michael Moore in TrumpLand, was released in 2016 and had no discernible effect on Trump's rise to power.
