Ex-All Black Malakai Fekitoa bares all in hot ESPN shoot

An ex-All Black is baring all in ESPN The Magazine's famous annual Body Issue.

Malakai Fekitoa is one of 23 high-performing international sportsmen and women who pose completely naked in the issue, which is renowned for nude pictures of top athletes every year.

The 25-year-old Highlanders player is joined by the likes of tennis player Caroline Wozniacki, basketballer Isaiah Thomas and American footballer Ezekiel Elliott.

Fekitoa poses nude on the beach for the steamy shoot, with only a rugby ball to hide his modesty.

He's believed to be the first Kiwi athlete and only the second rugby player ever to be featured in The Body Issue.

"I worked really hard with my body to get it right," Fekitoa told ESPN.

"I want to show others that you can achieve anything in what you do if you put your mind to it and your body."

This year's issue has come under some controversy, with many outraged that NFL player Zeke Ellio, a black man, nude on one version of the issue.

Many have taken to Twitter to express their disgust.

There was less outrage for the alternative cover where tennis player Caroline Wozniacki, a white woman, appears naked.
