Have you always dreamed of attending Hogwarts? Even if, like me, you're devastated your Hogwarts letter never arrived - this could be your chance to play a part in the Harry Potter universe.
On the official Pottermore website, Warner Bros has put out a casting call for teens to play young versions of five main characters in the follow-up to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
The studio is looking for three actors ages 13 to 16 to play young versions of Newt Scamander, Leta Lestrange, and a new character Sebastian, plus two 16 to 18-year-olds to play the teenaged Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald.
"If you know any young acting hopefuls who know their Elder Wand-lore, or have a penchant for Sherbert Lemons, now is the time to let them know," the website reads.
Open casting calls have worked to the Harry Potter franchise's advantage before. Evanna Lynch was chosen for the part of Luna Lovegood out of 15,000 other young women following open casting in 2006 and Faith Wood-Blagrove nabbed the role of Modesty over thousands of other young women in the first Fantastic Beasts film.
Unfortunately for most Kiwis, only those with UK, Irish or EU passports are eligible to apply. But if you fit all the criteria and are available for filming between August and November 2017, what are you waiting for?
