If you've always dreamed of going on a date with Lorde, there's a new smartphone dating app that can help.

Badoo is offering people the chance to date their celebrity crush by filtering results using new facial recognition technology.

Singletons using the Badoo app can search for a celebrity like David Gandy, Kendall Jenner or Justin Bieber and the app will pull up profiles that most closely match the celebrity.

The catch is they'll have to like you back before you can start chatting.

The Bumble partner website has 350 million users across the world, and is using facial recognition technology to help you search out someone who likes like your celebrity crush.

The company calls itself as a "social discovery" site, and says its aim is to help people connect with one another for a variety of purposes, not just to find dates. Much of the activity on the platform, however, focuses on users searching for romantic partners.

The most-searched celebrities globally are Kim Kardashian West and Emma Stone.

Billboard.com reports that there are over 700 DJ Khaled and Kendrick Lamar lookalikes, over 400 Harry styles lookalikes, and over 1000 Lorde lookalikes.
