Jennifer Aniston is preparing to make her return to TV, more than a decade after Friends finished its run. But this time, she's joined by an equally big screen star in Reese Witherspoon.

The new drama will explore the world of morning talk shows and the larger New York media scene they're a part of, Deadline Hollywood reports.

The series is being spearheaded by former HBO head of drama Michael Ellenberg and his production company Media Res.

Jay Carson (House of Cards) is attached to pen the script. Academy Award nominee Steve Kloves (Wonder Boys, Harry Potter) will executive produce.

Currently the untitled project doesn't have an outlet, but producers are going to start looking for a home in the coming weeks, with pitches expected at premium cable outlets and streaming services.

Big Little Lies actress Witherspoon and Anniston are also expected to be credited as executive producers, as well as star.

Aniston earned five Emmy nominations and won one for her role as Rachel Green on Friends. She also earned a guest star Emmy nom for her guest role on 30 Rock
