Lorde plans to celebrate her impending 21st birthday in a time-honoured tradition- by drinking a 'yardie'.
Promoting her new album Melodrama on Australia's The Project on Thursday night, the star assured fans that despite her global success, she was still a "giant loser".
When asked whether she'd changed since finding stardom, the singer said she thought her looks had improved.
"I think that I'm maybe five percent prettier than I used to be, but apart from that I think I'm still a giant loser so it's all good."
The songstress, who turns 21 on November 7, will return to her homeland in November as part of her Melodrama world tour.
