The internet is in mourning after Microsoft's announcement it is considering removing Paint from the next update.
The program was first introduced in 1985 and has served as a backdrop to users for 32 years.
However last year the company unveiled Paint 3D, a new version of the much-loved classic software.
That hasn't stopped many from expressing their disappointment on social media with many tweeting their "RIP" messages.
