Game of Thrones DoP says next episode better than dragon battle

Game of Thrones' director of photography has a message for fans - be prepared, because the next episode is even bigger than last week's massive battle.

Cinematographer Robert McLachlan has shot some of the TV series' best and largest episodes, including 'The Rains of Castamere' (the Red Wedding episode) and 'Dance of Dragons'.

He was behind 'The Spoils of War', and the ominously-named upcoming episode 'Eastwatch'.

"When I saw the rough cuts of both Sunday night's episode and this upcoming one, most of us actually… liked the upcoming one better than the battle scene one," McLachlan told the Toronto Star.

"Having said that, the battle one wasn't put together and all the elements weren't in place and the music wasn't there and so forth. But as a really solid, satisfying episode, I actually like (the upcoming) episode five."

In 'The Spoils of War', Daenerys Targaryen rode her fire-breathing dragon into battle.

Now, Game of Thrones seems about to unleash another battle, as the White Walkers prepare their invasion against the Night's Watch.
