James Corden, host of The Late Late Show and its popular Carpool Karaoke segment, has revealed a Linkin Park episode was recorded before Bennington's death and was scheduled for broadcast in October - but whether it will now is up to those grieving the most.
"We will approach in whichever manner his family or the people that were involved in that episode, however they would like it to be handled," Corden told the Associated Press.
"We consider it to be not our decision to make. We will navigate as delicately as possible and I'm just an ear to whatever wishes they would want because I don't think there's any other way we could deal with it, really. It's completely up to them and that's a conversation we haven't even thought about having right now... It's a tragedy."
While Bennington's family hasn't stated if they want the clip to air or not yet, his widow Talinda took to Twitter to thank Corden for his sensitivity.
Meanwhile, Will Smith is the latest celebrity to star in Carpool Karaoke.
