Katy Perry is reportedly being sued after an injury on her tour led to the amputation of her former stagehand's big toe.

Christina Fish was hired to move sets on the Prismatic Tour in 2014 when her toe became stuck in a wall, TMZ reports.

The tour-worker says when she tried to free her toe it "rolled over her foot" - but despite her shoe filling with blood, no one called an ambulance.

After a hospital visit her toe was amputated, leaving her in emotional distress.

Ms Fish is suing the singer, Live Nation and a number of stage production companies over the incident.

The tour was Perry's most successful to date, earning more than $200 million.
