Louis Tomlinson has slammed Justin Bieber for quitting his Purpose world tour early.

The 25-year-old ex-One Direction star told a US radio station he placed a lot of importance of honouring commitments on Monday (local time).

"Obviously, you have to be in a good position mentally, but I also think, to a certain degree, when you're signing up to something, you should see it through," the 'Back to You' singer said.

The 23-year-old 'Sorry' singer abandoned the remaining dates of his Purpose tour with 15 dates to go, due to "unforeseen circumstances".

Rumours are flying those circumstances involve a "spiritual awakening".

Tomlinson criticised the move, saying the fans should be a priority.

"There's never enough that I can say or do for the fans. I think people can forget that, to be quite honest."

He added: "I get it, the whole game is so exciting and crazy, but at the end of the day, it's the people buying the records that are putting you where you are."
