Lucy Lawless invites you to the Pleasuredome

Lucy Lawless is set to feature in Pleasuredome, an immersive theatre experience opening in Auckland on September 28.

The Xena: Warrior Princess star describes the show as "a wild, funkadelic, joyful ride".

Produced by Rob Tapert, husband of Lawless and producer of The Evil Dead, the show is said to be about desire, addiction, greed, and the power of love, set on the dance-floor to some of the biggest tunes of the 1980s.

"As a 20-something youth in the '80s, a friend dragged me to an underground club in New York City - it was something you could only find in that city, a fusion of beautiful people, music, lights - a sensory overload," says Tapert.

"For nearly 40 years, I've been working on the right vehicle that could re-create that seminal ride for others. Pleasuredome is a classic tale of desire, love, and greed set at the party you've only dreamt about - all mixed to an 80's soundtrack."

Tickets to Pleasuredome are on sale now.
