Russian presenter punched by drunkard on live TV

A pro-Kremlin TV presenter has found himself the victim of an assault while undertaking a live cross.

Giving a report from Gorky Park in Moscow, NTV's Nikita Razvozzhayev was supposed to be speaking about Paratroopers Day - an anniversary marking the first paratrooper drop over the area in 1930.

But he instead saw his live cross ruined by a bulky drunken man, who drowned the broadcaster out with nationalist phrases.

"This is our country! We will seize Ukraine!" he could be heard shouting, prompting Razvozzhayev to try to gather control of the broadcast by telling the man to be quiet.

However the heavily inebriated man didn't appear to take kindly to being told to shut up - and struck the reporter in the face, causing Razvozzhayev to reel away in pain.

The broadcast then cut back to the news anchor at the NTV studio, who was clearly shocked and unsure of how to continue.

The man was located by police soon after and taken into custody, according to reports.
