In a twist worthy of their hit show, it turns out Game of Thrones stars and real-life lovebirds Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are related.
The couple, who are engaged to be married, are both descendants of Charles II of England, who ruled over Britain in the late 1600s.
The odd coincidence was first noted by fans of the show on Twitter.
"Through his paternal grandmother, Lavender Cecilia Denny, Harington's eighth-great-grandfather was Charles II of England," Harington's Wikipedia page reads.
"Her mother is Candida Mary Sibyl 'Candy' Leslie (nee Weld) of Clan Fraser, maternal great-granddaughter of Simon Fraser, 13th Lord Lovat and descendant of Charles II of England," says Leslie's. Claims on both pages are backed up with sources.
The pair met on the set of the HBO show, their characters Jon Snow and Ygritte also falling in love.
The relationship between Harington and Leslie is very distant, unlike many of the pairings on Game of Thrones, so don't expect any of the pair's children to turn out like Joffrey.
