The 'Better Together' singer will perform with guests the Black Seeds at Villa Maria Estate in Auckland, Sunday, December 10.
It's an all-ages gig, and tickets go on sale for fan club members on September 4, Spark members on September 6, My Live Nation subscribers on September 8 and the public on September 11.
Johnson is touring his seventh album, All the Light Above it Too, recorded mostly alone in the stripped-back style that graced his early recordings.
He's sold more than 25 million albums in his 17-year career.
