"Pharma bro" Martin Shkreli has listed one of his prized possessions on eBay.

The only copy of rap album Once Upon a Time in Shaolin… was purchased in late 2015 in an auction set up by Wu-Tang co-founder and producer RZA.

Shkreli paid "millions" for the album, but according to the auction listing has "not carefully listened" to it. As of Wednesday morning (US time), the double album has received 199 bids, the highest US$100,000. International shipping is US$22.25.

Half the money generated from the sale will go to "medical research", but Shkreli reserved the right to cancel the auction and destroy the only album copy instead, should he choose to do so.

Shkreli hopes that the buyer of Once Upon A Time In Shaolin is more charitable that he is, saying the new owner should release the album on the internet.

He hopes "someone with a bigger heart for music can be found for this one-of-a-kind piece and makes it available for the world to hear".
