Taylor Swift has brought a smile to the faces of a few following a tragedy, sending flowers to a Las Vegas police station, after one of their officers was shot.

ABC7 reports that a female officer from the Foothill Division attended the Route 91 Harvest Festival with friends while off duty and was struck after gunman Stephen Paddock opened fire on the crowd. The LAPD posted on Instagram that the officer is in a stable condition.

Taylor Swift wanted to do something for the LAPD Foothill Community Police Station in the wake of the tragedy, so she sent several bouquets of flowers to brighten their day.

LAPD Intel Analyst Kimberlee Binder wrote on Instagram, that 'Shake It Off' singer Swift was "a class act".

"@taylorswift     sent multiple bouquets of flowers and plants to our station, as one of our officers was shot in Las Vegas last night. This is one of the smaller arrangements. Beautiful flowers can bring a smile to anyone's face. Much respect," Binder posted, alongside a photo of a multi-coloured arrangement of roses, sunflowers and daisies on Monday (local time).
