Marvel has released the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, the climactic ensemble movie set for release next year.
Along with the major Avengers from previous films, heroes from Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange are all shown off - as is villain Thanos.
While a glimpse at some major plot points are shown off - including the fates of Bruce Banner and The Vision - the trailer holds back from spoiling much.

Large-scale battles are teased, including what looks to be Thanos versus some of the Avengers in New York, and his forces versus other Avengers and the Wakandan army in Africa.
The video ends with a worse-for-wear, eye patch-wearing Thor asking the Guardians of the Galaxy who the hell they even are.
The nearly two-and-a-half minute clip will no doubt fuel fan anticipation ahead of the film's release in May, 2018.
