Tyrese Gibson suffers meltdown, says he'll quit Fast and Furious

Tyrese Gibson is refusing to star in the next Fast and Furious movie if Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is in it.

The actor declared his ultimatum on Instagram as part of two lengthy posts expressing fury at his co-star for starring in a spin-off movie.

Gibson is also very upset at not being allowed to see his 10-year-old daughter Shayla and posted a highly emotional video online in which begs for help with the custody battle.

"Don't take my baby, this is all I got," Gibson says in between sobs.

"I been away from my baby for two months, I just want my baby. No one's listening... I'm at $13,000 a month, what more do you want from me?"

Gibson, who plays Roman Pearce in the high-octane action movies, has publicly pleaded with Johnson not to star in a Fast and Furious spin-off movie with increasingly desperate messages, to which his co-star has not responded, at least publicly.

He even appears to threaten Johnson's family in one of the Instagram posts and accuses him of using steroids ("juicing").

"I'm sorry to announce that if Dwayne is in Fast and Furious 9 there will no more Roman Pearce," says Gibson.

"You mess with family and my daughter's survival. I mess with yours. Close your eyes, dude, you're a clown."

In another post, Gibson claims he is finding difficulty getting work because his ex-wife "killed his reputation" and bemoans the fact Johnson is able to see his daughters every day, while he himself is barred from seeing his.

Gibson also cries in the video that he has "been there" for his millionaire and billionaire friends, but claims no one is "showing up" for him.

Meanwhile, Fast and Furious patriarch Vin Diesel took to social media last week to announce Fast and Furious 9 has started production, is being directed by Justin Lin and will see the return of star Jordana Brewster.
