Dustin Hoffman faces more predatory sexual abuse allegations

Pressure is growing on one of Hollywood's leading men to answer accusations of predatory sexual misbehaviour.

Five women say Oscar winner Dustin Hoffman touched and abused them - and three of them have appeared on a US television network to name and shame him.

Cori Thomas, Anna Graham Hunter and actress Kathryn Rossetter appeared in a joint interview on NBC's Nightly News on Monday (local time), where they shared their personal stories of Hoffman's alleged abuse of power.

"As hard as it is, I think that I wanted to choose truth over shame," said Thomas, who claims that Hoffman exposed himself to her when she was 16.

Rossetter described a feeling of relief in finally telling her story.

"I've been lying for 34 years," she said. "People go, 'How is it to work with Dustin?' and I tell the half-truth, which is, as an actor working with him, I owe him everything.

"I learned so much, and then I would stop and there would always be a knot in my stomach about what the real truth was, which is he was abusive and he was a bully."

Hoffman, 80, has yet to respond, although his lawyer has dismissed the allegations as "defamatory falsehoods".
