As 2017 draws to a close, the music streaming habits of Kiwis can be revealed and one thing's clear - it was the year of Ed Sheeran.
The listening habits of New Zealanders on Spotify and Apple Music show Sheeran taking out biggest single for 'Shape of You' and biggest album for Divide across both streaming services.

Kiwi songstress Lorde was also high in the charts over both streaming services; taking out the third biggest album of the year in New Zealand for Apple Music, and making the Top 10 singles with 'Green Light'.
She also took out number two in the most streamed female artists on Spotify, and cleaned up with number one streamed New Zealand artist.
Interestingly, Spotify listed July 13 as their 'Most Musical Day', with the most streams per listener occurring mid-winter.
