Mike Hosking and Toni Street have announced that Friday's episode of Seven Sharp will be their last.
At the end of Thursday evening's episode, Hosking made the announcement by saying he and his co-host had good news.
"We're off, we're done, we're finishing," he said. "Tomorrow night, it is over".
Hosking and Street have hosted the TVNZ show for four years. Both also have commitments in radio, which Hosking said was becoming too heavy a workload.
Street said she made the decision to reduce her weeknight commitments, so that she could spend more time with her family.
Hosking said that when Street told him she was leaving, he made the same decision as a way to honour "one of the best combinations on television".
"Given we started together, we end together," he said. "It is also always good to leave on your own terms and at your own time, often a rare trick in media."
New presenters for Seven Sharp are expected to be announced in January.
