Rihanna has paid an emotional tribute to her cousin on Instagram after he was reportedly shot dead in Barbados.
Barbados Today reports 21-year-old Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne was walking near his house in St Michael on Tuesday (local time) when he was approached by a man who shot him multiple times before fleeing the scene.
'Wild Thoughts' singer Rihanna, who reportedly spent Christmas with Alleyne, took to Instagram to share pictures of their relationship.
"RIP cousin... can't believe it was just last night that I held you in my arms! Never thought that would be the last time I felt the warmth in your body!!! Love you always man!" she captioned the pictures.
The 29-year-old Grammy award winner called for an end to gun crime at the end of the post.
She also shared a memorial to her cousin on her Instagram Story, posting a black background with the words "rest up little cuz".
Local police are reportedly investigating the crime.
