'Why the f**k not be yourself?' - Naz's inspiring message

  • 01/12/2017

Nazanin 'Naz' Khanjani has released a new video hoping to inspire people and help them through tough times.

The star of The Bachelor NZ's 2016 season and avid social media user says her greatest happiness comes from helping others.

She feels she's "been through hell and back" in 2017, but says with the benefit of hindsight, it's all been a blessing.

"We all go through struggles, we all go through ups and downs in our lives," says Naz.

"What's important is how you come out of it, grow from it and move forward from it."

Naz says she's tougher, stronger and wiser than she was a year ago, and she wants to help others.

"I think it's really good for me to stand tall and stand strong - not only for myself, but for the youth as well. Whether they're bullied, constantly being put down, there is still hope."

Most of her troubles have come from men, says Naz, but she adds that she lost a few friends this year as well.

As always, she's also been dealing with nasty online comments and bullying.

"No matter what you do, what you wear, who your friends with, whatever choices you make - there's always going to be someone out there who's not happy with it," she says.

"So why the f**k not be yourself, be happy and do what makes you proud."

In addition to winning medals in bodybuilding competitions this year, Naz also flew to Los Angeles for a 'massive TV opportunity'.
