The Cranberries lead singer Dolores O'Riordan has died in London aged 46, her publicist has confirmed.
The Irish musician lead the band to international stardom in the 1990s with hit singles like 'Linger' and 'Zombie'.
"Irish and international singer Dolores O'Riordan has died suddenly in London today. She was 46 years old," a statement from her publicist reads.
"The lead singer with the Irish band The Cranberries was in London for a short recording session. No further details are available at this time.
"Family members are devastated to hear the breaking news and have requested privacy at this very difficult time."
"Police in Westminster are dealing with a sudden death," a Metropolitan Police spokesperson told the Daily Mail.
"Officers were called at 9:05am on Monday [local time] to a Hotel in Park Lane. A woman in her mid-40s was pronounced dead at the scene.
"At this early stage the death is being treated as unexplained. Enquiries continue."
She is survived by ex-husband Don Burton and by her three children, Taylor Baxter, Molly Leigh and Dakota Rain.
