Abby Lee Miller has posted a photo taken in prison, saying that she is "feeling great and ready to turn over a new leaf".
The Dance Moms star looked slim in the picture on Instagram - which has since been removed - and a source told ET that she's lost around 45kg since she entered prison six months ago.
Miller was sentenced to a year in prison after pleading guilty to bankruptcy fraud in June 2016.
She had gastric bypass surgery before she went to prison and plans on having multiple plastic surgeries when she is released, ET reports.
"Sometimes in life you make mistakes. I trusted the wrong people and didn't pay any attention to things I should of. I'm more than sorry for the mistakes I have made," Miller wrote in the caption to her Instagram post.
"My world flipped upside down when I had to enter prison. I did so with grace, the stories you read about me been [sic] a princess are untrue. I have made friends with both inmates and staff, I've tried to better myself, participated in anything offered to me and I am a better person for this experience," she said.
Miller said she is hopeful that she will be released from prison soon, but no dates have been confirmed.
"I am feeling great and ready to turn over a new leaf thank you so much to everyone for your support especially my nearest and dearest I love you all ( and yes this is me in prison )" she said.
