Lorde has covered Fleetwood Mac's 'Silver Springs' in a ceremony honouring the band's legacy.

On Friday night (local time) the members of Fleetwood Mac were collectively awarded the MusiCares Person of the Year award at New York City's Radio City Music Hall.

Lorde took to the stage to pay tribute to the band, singing their 1976 song 'Silver Springs'.

She cited the track as a major influence when writing 2017 album Melodrama.

A star-studded line-up of musicians covered other Fleetwood Mac songs, with Miley Cyrus singing 'Landslide' and Haim performing their rendition of 'Gypsy'.

After two hours of performances, surprise guest Bill Clinton thanked the band for 'Don't Stop', the song he used to soundtrack his 1992 presidential campaign.

Fleetwood Mac then accepted their award and performed five songs themselves, ending the night with 'Go Your Own Way'.
